This training package offers 2-days live in-person training (Sydney) to use the Parent Hope semi-manualised program.
The Parent Hope Project is a parent-based clinical intervention for struggling children that helps parents make a positive project out of themselves and reduce their anxious focus on their children/young people. It is grounded in Bowen family systems theory and research, developed by Dr Jenny Brown. The training outlines the theory and research basis of this differentiation-based parenting approach. Then, it describes the clinician’s principles, change process, and key systems ideas presented to parents. It provides a clear example of clinical work based on Bowen theory and can be more broadly applied to other client presentations.
